Dear Jack-
McWhatnow told me about your Homeric
trip to Moberly via Hannibal. Wally is a present involved
in a true mundane polemic with a disciple of Gerald
L. Smith The fascist whelp is dating Wally's oldest daughter.
The other night at Little Bo, Wally put on a masterful
performance. Winkler, poor boy, still heads Moe's S. list.
My mother has been dangerously ill
but she is now slowly recovering. I'm yokin with
the [?] on a construction project. I like it.
Not one of my colleagues has been to a psychiatrist.
Most tell their troubles to the patient bar[?]
who are never far away
I've tried to persuade Dr. Ole
Nelson to return to E. St.L and pay his back dues in
the Boiler makers. He'll screw around and loose that
card.
Joe has degenerated into a
[?] lock rising bohemian since his furlough from the
Pennsy[?] He sends his regards and thanks you for your
hospitable treatment while he was in Chicago.
I'll be South bound in a few weeks.
Probably work in a hotel. Cherry blossom lane is
now a [?]-cluttered, trash-filled, abandoned walk.
Yrs.
B.
