Dear Jack-
Receive an occasional
sad plea from Bleake for funds. Thought
[?] vile[?] was supposed to provide security.
He'd be better off outside if this is the
best the State of Fla can do for him. There
are other, more subtle, [?], sort
of fringe benefits. that he receives that
wouldn't be so immediately available
to a civilian.
Had a note from
the Dr. Said he had lunch with Jack
Pol[?] and Christine Jorgensen[?] at Toots
Sh[?]. They had to leave in order to
duck Walter Winchell. The Dr. seems to
be his old whimsical self which would
indicate that he may yet triumph
over Premium, [?]
May see you before
I depart to warmer climes. Might
make it up some weekend in early
Nov. For a [?] not a fall[?]
What did you find out about them rubles[?]? Will
you have trouble with Broomface[?]
tot-wise. Suggest you invest your
rubles in Eidelweiss.
Yrs,
B.
