User-Contributed Transcription 3.for the fourth time.  A friend suggested I try Stephens College.  He felt they just might go for the idea of subsidizing a little magazine.  The creative writing staff there approved of the idea and so did the Dean.   I was able to get that last issue, No. 10, out immediately with no problem.  Then came No. 11!  It was agreed that members of the staff would act as advisory editors.  So that when I & my students - all 3 of them - had selected the poems I met with my advisory board.  I have never experienced anything like it.  They did not like any of the poems I selected.  At least not all three of them could agree on any one poem.   They were agressive [sic], vindictive and absolutely absurd in their criticism of what I was doing.   One member voiced the opinion that if a poem was not up to the standard of what he called, in fact mimed from  T.S. Eliiot, "High" art, then it should not be published.  I could obviously rant on for hours about what went on in that meeting.  The crux of it is that I can go ahead with this issue but for the next issue I must not accept any poems without their prior approval.  I am just to weed out the "bad" stuff
