User-Contributed Transcription and send on to them the rest for their comment.  In other words, I am to become a secretary for my own magazine.   I don't have to tell you how disturbed I am about all of this.  I have actually lost sleep over it.   The irony of it is that if it were not for Max Baird I would have let the magazine die after four issues back in 1968.  And if Stephens had not have decided to subsidize it this fall I am quite certain that the magazine would have just not come out again.  Now, faced with the afrontery [sic] of Stephens College and their sophmoric,[sic]  intellectual bigotry -  I am all angry and upset about the threat to my position as Editor, founder and Princess to Open Places.  I can't see how I can continue with Stephens.  I am just going to have to withdraw O.P. from their clutches.  Perhaps I am being overly dramatic.  I tend to respond with my whole being to everything and this has been very upsetting for me.  I had thought that I hd finally worked up to something.   That I had won a real coup with Stephens.  They were never interested in me.  They were just concerned to take over my magazine.
