April 26th

My dear Dr. Taylor
I am sorry I could not come over to the Commons Thursday evening to your 25th anniversary celebration. I am told it was a most enjoyable occasion. You certainly have great reason to be proud of the acheivements of the past twenty five years, and to be satisfied with the record the Commons has made and its splendid standing in Chicago today.
No one can know of the work you have put into it, and of the sacrifices you and your family have made during all these years.
I know it would have been a great added joy to you could Mrs. Taylor have stood by your side the other evening and seen the fruitage of her labor and self denials and yours. May the years to come bring a still more abundant
