Summary Ms. patent of nobility, granted to Alvar Goncalez el Moxo in Granada on Jan. 27, 1567. In the customary manner, Goncalez presents his petition for status as an "hidalgo" to the "alcaldes de los hijos dalgo", the clerk of the province of Leon, and then to the president and judges of the Audiencia de Granada.  Witnesses in support of his request offer their testimony, including several neighbors: Francisco Gomez, Francisco Benitez, Gaspar Sanchez el Viejo, Pedro Munoz el Viejo, Juan Sanchez de Martin Sanchez, and Elvira Rodriguez.  The final judgment is handed down on Jan. 27, 1567 in Granada, and signed by Licenciados Mesia de Frias, y Reinoso, Dr. Torres, and notary Diego de la Pena Vallejo.  Added document, dated Feb. 9, 1567, certifies that Goncalez's judgment has been received and registered by town officials.
