Description Portrait of Jacyntha Vallandingham, the first wife of N. W. Harris. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 12, 1847. Her parents were Anderson Wood Vallandingham and Sarah Dryden of Cincinnati, Ohio. She and N. W. Harris were married on January 1, 1867. They had three children: Albert Wadsworth Harris (1867-1958), Norman Dwight Harris (1870-1958), and Walter Anderson Harris (July 12, 1872-December 27, 1872). Jacyntha died on July 22, 1873, in Cincinnati.

A label on the back of the frame indicates that the photograph was taken in 1867.
