Description The steamship, Theodore Roosevelt, docked in the Chicago River between Clark Street and Dearborn Street, on July 24, 1915. Spectators line the Dearborn Street Bridge in the foreground and the Clark Street Bridge and the Reid-Murdoch building are in the background. The handwritten note on the left-hand side of the photograph states, "Looking west from south side State St. Bridge. July 25, 15." This photograph was most likely taken from the Dearborn Street Bridge because the Theodore Roosevelt was docked between Clark and Dearborn streets the morning of the Eastland disaster. The State Street Bridge was a block east of Dearborn Street.
