Date approximately 1912
Subjects MacLean Family, MacLean, Christina MacDonald
Description Little is known about Christina MacDonald [mother of M. Haddon] before she married John MacLean about 1868. M. Haddon listed her date and place of birth as October 7, 1847 in Uigg, Prince Edward Island. After becoming a widow in 1887, she made her home near her children, living in New York and then in Chicago, near Annie and M. Haddon. Later in her life, when this portrait was taken, she lived in Pasadena, California. There she interacted with her son's in-laws [N.W. and Emma Harris], who also wintered in southern California during their later years.
