Dear Jack & Gladys:

Will write to you after holidays and let you know all I know about Rose death.   She became very ill and her Dr. sent her to St. Alexis Hospital.  She was there 3 weeks & sent home and then back again.  There were times she seemed to be in a Coma and couldnt talk & would squeeze my hand.  My brother & I talked to her at the hospital she didnt talk & my brother wanted her in a nursing home I said no as I will take her home and hire a nurse and she squeezed my hand so she heard what we said.   Went to see her every visiting hrs. and she always was strong and was so surprised when they called us and said for us to come as she was dead.   I am sure she didnt get proper care at that hospital but it is too late now to think & my girl friend is a nurse and said she was dying when she would gurgle in her throat.  They should of called us before she died so we could be with her.  I left Calif. because she was lonely in N.Y. & went there & lived with her till the family wanted us in Cleveland & came after us.  I miss her.
