Dear Jack Conroy,

I betcha Jackie Susann really longs to write the book, for all her exploitation of a willing public. Perhaps your lectures will plough up future Jackie Susanns and broaden their scope. It is really not her writing that bothers me, for I do not have to read it. It is her money for the writing that keeps one awake nights.
Possibly Jackie really has "good taste," to quote another Jackie, but that is not what the public wants, nor does the public want art.
But I love this Country where all these "Jackies" can be heard - and along these lines, your book "The Disinherited"
