Four letters from Woman's Dormitory about the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago written by Jane Elliott Sever O'Reilly in July 1893 and addressed to her mother or aunt. Throughout the letters Jane describes Chicago, the Women's Dormitory, and the Fair including the peristyle, statues, Ferris wheel, state buildings, and the Women's building.
Biographical/Historical Note
Jane Elliott Sever O'Reilly (1876-1956) was daughter of Mary C. Webber and Charles William Sever of Massachusetts. She married James Archer O'Reilly of Saint Louis Missouri and had two children, Noel Sever (1909-1999) and James Archer (1907-2001).
