Summary Pocket diary kept by David L. Norris of Findlay, Ohio, during his visit to the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago between Oct. 3-19, 1893. Entries contain descriptions of the buildings and exhibits at the Fair which Norris visits, as well as side trips he makes to downtown Chicago and to St. Charles, names of people he meets, and a recipe for gin punch. Norris also shops for souvenirs, attends a band concert, views the Jubilee gifts presented to Queen Victoria, and watches fireworks--"the best I ever saw."
