User-Contributed Transcription Jefferson May 7th 1856Dear Aunt I am home once again as you will see by the date of this letter though I am not yet fairly rested from my journey. I reached here last Friday afternoon. Cousin Sarah I presume gave you an account of me up to the time of my leaving Utica after leaving there I had a very pleasant trip homeward though we were detained longer in Ohio than we expected to be. I found our family in usual health when I reached here. Father and Mother quite well and Grandmother
