But the natural heart like t barren earth produces only weed, nettles, briars & thorns of sin, its affections are corrupt. They lead them to break every holy duty & commit. doodle So the natural hearts of men are barren of any good fruit, ever since sin entered t world [unclear] glory has departed. They have nothing but barrenness left. They have no love, delight, joy, peace & comfort in God. They have no holy gratitude, trust or submission to God. They have no true repentance, faith, hope or christian humility. They have no patience, fortitude or resignation to divine will or any other gr..ne?
