Can it be possible that I shall be well enough to go home safely as soon as that? I will try to hope so although I can't believe it yet. Perhaps you noticed that I closed my journal on Sat. rather abruptly: I was quite tired, and the Dr. came in and told me not to write any more that evening, so of course, like an obedient patient, I left it until today. I meant to have told you some of the many things I had been doing that day; but I suppose it will do to tell you now. Well, in the morning I took a sits bath, don't you think I am getting to be quite like other patients? it made me very tired indeed, but today I took another and stood it much better, I think it will be a great benefit to me in strengthening my back if I am able to take it; as I now hope I shall be. In the afternoon I went out to the Gymnasium. Oh, I had a grand good time. I saw so many new things that I was almost bewildered. I staid out there quite a good while, and watched the girls rolling balls and swinging and climbing till I got quite excited and tired. I have not been out yet today, but I expect to before night. It has been rather cloudy today so far, and it has rained a little, but it seems to be growing pleasanter now. Haven't I done pretty well to write so much with ink? I guess I had better stop now and rest. -- Tuesday 20. -- It is dull and cloudy without but it seems pleasant and happy in my little room; I suppose one reason is that I feel so well myself.
