Carry out every where and at all timesthe principles of this golden rule and angelswill rejoice to hear your name. I wish to ask one question for theconsideration of every temperance man present.which I think appropriate to the occasionThink upon it. There are in this place 3different ^temperance societies the Washingtonian, an 2 others.The Washintonians for near 3 years until quite recently have held weakly meetings in the oldAcademy. The beneficial results flowing from thosemeetings are seen all around us. This greatcorrupting plague which in years past has beensuch a curse to our place has partly arrestedin its course. Several confirmed drunkardshave been reformed and sustained and cheeredin keeping their good resolutions. Many youthhave been preserved from forming intemperatehabits. The time expended in those meetings hasbeen lost on none of us. Our hear - crossed out Though notall in immediate danger our selvesour hearts have been enlarged by attemptingto benefit the effort.
