How mortifying must this have been?To stand up in a congregationat Jerusalem, & confess his sins& blasphemy, & his present attachmentto t. friends of Stephen whom hehad murdered. Yet he waswilling to go through any mortifycationto manifest, the realityof conversion, & his desire toglorify GoD, & save men's souls.
