User-Contributed Transcription gentleman had taken that school and was popular that he soon got all my young ladies. Anna talks of making a trial of his school. I am almost afraid he is the Spaniard of when I dreamed. He would like to board with Lewis but they have not yet decided.- Cousin Mary expects to go to house keeping next May and then we shall lose Lizzie .This will be quite a disappointment for me as I had calculated a great deal on her company this summer.Thank you for the address of Rev. Mr. Cook.- Remember me to Charley Fowler. I should like very much to see him. What standing has he as a scholar? he has good abilities and I should be happy to learn that he is making good use of them. What a pity Mrs Sanford is not a gentleman and a bachelor, it would be so romantic. As it is I am quite thankful for her first impressions. Respects to her and your "Graefenberg mother" Love Jennie side of letterIn company with this I send a letter to Elizabeth. We received a letter from her Monday night. Heard from John last week. They are all well and in fine spirits. Their letter was written before Gov. Geary resigned. The prospect of Kansas being a free state looks rather dark to us now.
