User-Contributed Transcription host of pictures in it, Robbie wanted to know if I thought it would be wrong to look at them Sunday. I said no, and so we took the book out into the kitchen and sat down to look at them, Maggy came and sat on my lap and Robbie sat on a chair by my side. There were pictures of cows, and sheep, squirrels, and mice and ever and ever so many kinds of birds. We had a very nice time looking at them. Among the rest we saw a king bird with a bee in its mouth. Robbie wanted to know, why it had got the bee. I told him that they were what it had to eat and that his grandpa used to have bees his papa would try to kill every king bird he could find. But what what makes the king bird eat the bees? asked Robbie again, what makes you eat bread and butter, said J. because I. Because I like it, said Robbie smiling.
