User-Contributed Transcription with John James to dinner.  If they looked like our boy they must have been a pretty hard looking company covered with mud and rags!  Yesterday after meeting I went to dinner to Laura's - there was quite a little company there, Ellen Price, Mrs. Margaret Jones, Mr & Mrs J R Griffiths and Katy.  It was snowing hard when I came home and I left my hat and borrowed one that would not injure.  Wm met me at our door saying Mrs. Jones had broken her arm.  John Williams had brought her the cider and she was in a hurry to take care of it that she might go to meetings.  She slipped on the board by the door.  Sarah had gone over to stay while J. W. went for the Dr.  He could only get young Dr. Wiggins.  Dr Williams could not come.  His baby is very dangerously burned.  Evan Charles
