User-Contributed Transcription Lewis printed the tickets yesterday. Henry P. Jones and his wife were here last evening making their farewell visit before moving west. They are going to Williamsburg, Iowa, expect to start the latter part of this month. We had a very pleasant visit with them. It is quite mild and pleasant today - we are having a January thaw and mother and Anna have gone to visit at Lewis' - they started for Robt. Hughes but the roads were so soft they went no father than Lewis.' Anna has not been out before since Sarah left - she has not been feeling so well, but was better yesterday and today. - We have had last week and the first day of this exceedingly cold weather - the milk froze in the pantry so that I could scarcely skim it, indeed I could not skim it at all till I thawed it - it was so several days.
