User-Contributed Transcription annotation  1860's   /annotationDear Cynthia -  We are pretty busy today, so will not find time to write much. Just as soon as mother read your last letter saying your key might be hanging on some nail in the kitchen, she got up and looked on that nail in the corner by the looking glass and sure enough there it was. Sarah said she thought she had looked on every nail in the house the evening Mr. Roberts called. We are sorry you have been so long without it but we hope you will get it safely now.   Jane Ann is here sewing- she did not come till Thursday noon- have almost finished with my black and white dress and sack- the suit will look nicelyin margin:We are all pretty well - Sarah not feeling tip top tho' Anna has given to music lessons this morning - one to Annie and one to Franky Thomas. We have had three nice hay days now - hope it is as pleasant in Turin - We finished getting in our hay Thursday - That carriage has not been in our yard since you left - has it been in your neighborhood?  Jennie E.
