User-Contributed Transcription P.O. Box 209.  Hillsdale, Mich, March 19, 188unclear  My dear Nephew, Your good long letter came yesterday - and very glad indeed was I to get it.  We were quite amused with the items of gossip but I did not like the slang quite as well - hope you will always need a dictionary to understand that!  College term began here yesterday.  Holden is a Freshman.  His three studies for this coming term are Virgil - first Book - Greek grammar & Waylands Intellectual Philosophy.  If you were here you would be together in many of your studies.  When he was here before he was in the Scientific Department and also I believe had some Biblical Studies.  Excuse me if I get too many capitals, when I write one I find I often begin the next word with one also.  It is pleasant here - warmer thanin marginsfather every week.  He sends many items of interest about California, some of which I hope to remember till I go home.  I do not know just when your term closes.  Please mention in your next what day you will be ready to go home.  How are the roads?  wheeling or sleighing?  Much much love from all.  Take good care of your health.  Aff'ly your auntie Jennie Everett
