User-Contributed Transcription and found her dressing and little Anna smiling and wide awake in bed. At last Mr. Butler made an appearance after we had one more gone down stairs and we learned that Hattie and Holden had watched with the corpse and had left a request not to be disturbed - of this we knew nothing because they had arranged all this after we went to bed. Claire had been so delighted to be the first up that she danced about pretty lively and probably wakened them at the time. They went to sleep or at least, they are faithfully courting sleep, for all is still in their rooms to this time.  I should not wonder if we have rain soon. We had a little one day soon after S came and that is all with the exception two or three days when a little snow fell - the other days have been cloudless. S thought it had been cold, but after getting a report of the weather about home and Turin I conclude it was a mistake of mine. have you had much stormy weather? How is it now? Do you keep free from colds? and is your health good? How does your essay prosper? Yesterday I received a card from Annie in which she said she had a letter from your father which you are to send to me. That reminded me that you must be looking for a letter from me!
