If she were home perhaps Anna could be spared for a while, but I do not know - there is a great deal to be done and seen to and, O Mary, it is so hard without father to advise about things, Frank told William that he did not mean to stay here this winter - John Eddie is quite a comfort to us but we are anxious he should be going on with his studies - he does not want to go back to New York - what course do you think we ought to take with him
