I had just left for Steuben when it came, and had taken the things with me, thinking they would reach you before a letter. I neglected writing immediately. We are feeling rather lonely this morning as Grandma left us yesterday and returned home with Uncle George. We had a good time the 4th I wish you could have been here I think you would have enjoyed it. Perhaps I would be classed in the 6th magnitude of stars for one would have to have taken a spy glass to have discovered me in the lead as I was not there as Ma was
