Perhaps you had better buy a roll or two from Sarah if they can spare it when you come down; you would find it so much nicer than what you could get here, and it would keep in the jar. How much do they give for fresh butter there? I have not seen any here yet. - Did we tell about Mr. Thos. Thomas' frozen finger? He has been coming here nearly every other day since the second week after I came down. He froze it the first of Jan. and neglected it too long before showing it to Mary. All the flesh on the last joint was black and has to come off gradually as the new flesh grows below - it has passed the root of the nail now - Mary gives him electricity - a carbon salve and med.
