User-Contributed Transcription Home, Aug. 14, 1875Dear Sis,  I received Sarah's letter last night on our return from Mrs. Jones, and as John Eddie had been writing to you I will just a little too - We are glad to hear so good a report from you and hope indeed you are now on the highway to health. What does William mean by accusing you of giving him so much trouble - I am afraid he is getting into bad ways himself - you know about the little boy that broke a beautiful vase and tried to throw the blame on the cat - Don't you think it is most time for him comeby checking the sweats. We have had a letter from Elizabeth not very long since Johny had returned from his trip after a very pleasant time - they were all well - asked particularly about you all but said nothing about receiving a letter from any of you - Wonder whether it will do to send regards to Mr. Scott - he seems to forget that is summer-Jennie Everett.
