User-Contributed Transcription Our folks know very well that I have a passion for rambling in the woods; well, we came to where the flowers grew in the richest profusion and a very fine variety. I was charmed, heartfealt delighted, and would fain have remained for hours, but supper time approaching, we returned home. Alas for poor human nature- I thought I was very careful, and bore in mind my faith, still the bounty line was overstepped. I went too far, and have had to pay pretty dearly for my whistle; for since then, Tuesday afternoon, I have been obliged to favor the bed and sofa more than anything else, However I am getting over it and will try to be morein margin past fold:Wm. says he is coming up to see the folks again before long. He likes Steuben.
