User-Contributed Transcription rather fierce appetite and the result was that I was very sick that night and it has taken me nearly a week to regain my strength I have had a good visit with the folks at home. I brought Charlie with me and leave hime here until my return. Mother Allen is staying with Mate and Carroll is at school. Mate is making rag=carpet and cleaning house. Anna and Sarah are both better than when I last saw them William is having quite a poor spell. They have had Griffith Jones here to help with the work I Eddie planted potatoes Saturday. I do not think it is advisable for me to think of getting a place in N.Y. to work at present. What would I do with my family? I do not lose my place in the store at Turin by being gone for two or three weeks now and I do not know as I can do better than go back to work there
