This New Year's night is it too late to wish you all a happy new year? I wonder if the Cen. is out. Sunday P.M. I went this morning with Miss Jenks to the S.S of the Beut? St Colored Baptist church, where she teaches. I was very much pleased with the propriety and sobriety with which it was conducted - the officers and all the teachers excepting Miss Jenks are colored. She says they have learned how to conduct the School from the white teachers who from year to year have assisted them. I was requested to take charge for the day of the most advanced class of boys - the lesson in the Question Book was the Moral Condition of Man.
