I want to go down this evening to see if I cannot do something to help them get ready for to=morrow, but it rains so that I am afraid I cannot. Wednes. morning _ I have not been to Mr Roberts' yet. It rained nearly all night. It looks like rain again this morning, though I hope it will not, on account of the funeral. We have school this morning, but will let it out in time to go to the church. We had a nice time last evening with enigmas, puzzles and anagrams. I made some enigmas on the little boys' names, which amused them. I am just as contented as you please now after my vacation. Mr. Shepard's people have a great deal of hay out yet, and I believe Charley isn't coming to school till they get through. He's not been this week. Three others from the same family come, but they dont make trouble for me, while
