User-Contributed Transcription Home Oct. 24My long lost sister Jennie, Or rather long neglected I should say, I suppose, Allow fancy to roam whether she will, and she will doubtless soon find Steuben; you follow and see if you will recognize home, through the fast falling snow. Thursday 27th. My communication to you was cut short by the quick approach of the dark hour of night, and since then I have not written any. Why, I hardly know as Mary with you. Jennie, if she is not, she is not with us. Perhaps she will be to night. Mother says she does not wish to hinder her visit- or help to you but she does wish to see her home, and if she cannot arrange things so as to come this week, would like to know when she can come. Will you let us, Mary
