User-Contributed Transcription Home, Nov. 14, 1854. Dear Mary, Nothing has recently occured that has surprised me more than the proposition you make in your last. Why, Mary dear, what do you mean, I was a good deal better (if I remember right) before you left than I had been, and now let me tell you that I feel very well. My heart does not trouble me much, it does go "pit a pat" sometimes rather faster than I like to have it, but I do not think that anything serious is the matter with it.
