The wonderful inventionsof the present and the past ages, all had theirbirth place in the human mind. The successfulcoworking of different inventions and variousagencies, bringing to perfection what seemeda dream in its first conception, show whatthe thinking brain can do. Two countries,held asunder not only by a thousand miles,but by a thousand leagues of defiant waves,with perfect composure and almost noiselessvoice holding converse! Think of this, and tellone, is not the mind a God like gift?Yet, brothers, sisters, almost with tremblingdo we speak it, it is a gift bestowed uponeach one of us, a gift that will exist as longas God himself! And shall we use it lightly?We condemn the man in the parable,
