User-Contributed Transcription It is the Hall, and I got it for about half- price. Think it will be a help to me in my work. I wrote part of my sermon on it this week. How are Aunt Jennie and Aunt Anna this winter? Suppose John Eddie is in college as usual. Qur church has been rather cold some of the time, as the heating arrangements are hardly sufficient. We are holding prayer meetings now around at the houses. S.S. and Sunday congregations keep up pretty well. The people have sent in pork, sausage, chickens, &c, so as to supply us pretty well with meat during the winter. They also have painted the parsonage. We have some new singing books which we use in S.S. and prayer- meeting. I have made me a sled with which to draw in wood from the barn to the house. I raised plenty of apples, squashes, &c in the garden last summer. The apples are Northern Spies and Spitzenburgs. We shall hope to hear from you soon. With love to all, J.H. Butler
