User-Contributed Transcription but suffers much pain particular by the last part of the day. The suffering has changed his looks & he has lost much flesh. The night he he fell he had been to the farm at Holland Patent, returned on the night train, the streets & walks were very dangerously slippery, he went up Genesee & out Fayette St had nearly got to the Mansion House when he fell, at first he said he thought it was only a hard "thump" he had received but when he tried to rise found he had no use of his arm, so had to wait & call for help, he said not to send to us, as Alex would be startled. I try to go up the stairs to his room, consequently they tried to set it without giving him either or any such thing, and worked till 3 o clock then went for Mr Sayr
