User-Contributed Transcription he sent for two strong muscular surgeons I had eather or something of the sort administered, that relaxed the muscles some & they were able to spring it in place, the blundering trying to set it & being so long about it caused so much suffering it was terrible, he sits in the Office every day but not able to do any thing. We tried to have him brought here, held out every inducement we could think of, Alex offered him any room in the house or all the house if he would come, he said he had everything he wanted there & could not have anything more if he was here, so there was nothing to do but as Alex said "let him have his own way" he thinks he us getting along fairly well now, How is Cousin John Now? Please write me soon, we are having very stormy weather the last two
