Anything about the saline water.." After relating these two items she muses.. "Americans who come over to work on these Masterpieces bring their culture with them, that is high air conditioned trailers, liquor, in a fairly dry Moslem Country - (my note - Peace corps don't enjoy the luxury of air conditioned trailers or booze) - they fail to mix with fellow Afghan executives, directors, supervisors, administrators, etc. These disasters coupled with an unsuccessful CIA attempt to bribe a local peace corp worker, doesn't really make the U.S. look to [sic] bright.." She goes on to say "I'm getting used to boiling water, digging latrines, sleeping in sleeping bags, and speaking only Farasi [[Farsi]]"...Are you bored, or have I wheted [sic] your appetite for more of Lenore? Whether you like it or not, here is is again. Listen to what she reports to her Uncle Jimmy in her latest letter. It was written to me in care of her Mother - And in answer to one I wrote to her, complaining I hadn't heard from her in a long time. Ruth gave it to me on my return from the sand dunes of Indiana three weeks ago.
