User-Contributed Transcription Glen Ellyn, ILL. Feb. 11, 1921. Dear Folks: 5 00 is enclosed, also tax statement which came a few days ago. Am not mailing it in the original envelope because it was quite flimsy, being the window style without the isinglass effect. Taxes are awfully high this year on account of the new school. Our personal tax was $9 00 and Mrs. Kopp's was $15 00 and Mrs. Curtis's was $25 00. Mrs. Kopp's regular taxes were much higher than yours, forget the exact figure. There have been two other deaths in town since last I wrote you - Mrs. Hudson, whom you will probably remember lived at the north end
