Sweet? Tweet? Mummie–
Just now got your letter. So sorry you have been working so hard. Are you getting good pay for it? What you have been doing ought to bring you at least $5.00 a day, I think. What a "damned" nuisance to watch over the excretory functions of so many children. One is plenty, I think. I forgot to say in my last letter that we way Draverman?. he was at home, but Jo was not. He is the same pimply faced critter as ever. He said that the paper was not doing very well and it certain by looks far from prosperous. Every issue is chuck full of bum advertising, such as "Can we not make you plump" "Why be fat"? "Dr. Bunkerino's soothing syrup" etc. etc. Only about three articles in the whole paper and B.B.'s sprinkled generously throughout. Our washlady has a cat which has lately become a mother and I am to have one of the kittens as soon as they are weaned. Max is looking out for a puppy too, so I may have quite a managerie before long.
