Friday 5:30 p.m. Dear Mum: This is my evening off as you will observe by the heading and will pass the 1st part of it by trying to get some news off my chest. Renewed my acquaintance with some Laires and Penates of our family lately in this wise: - Got a letter postmarked Elgin from Uncle Geo. saying that in looking over some of the contents of the barn which is soon to be torn down, he ran across a box initialed M.W.K. which he thought contained garden tools. Which he would send me on receipt of shipping
