User-Contributed Transcription If I talk I get into trouble so I worked instead of talking. Even so I guess people got unhappy with me because I didn't visit them. I guess I'm always wrong with my family.
While I was in Florida there was a peace march in Madison. 10,000 people in a candle-lite walk. About 10 people started breaking windows and the police panicked. The tear gas was so thick you could't see across the street. Of course people started running away from it so the cops ran after them and hit as many as possible with their riot sticks. There were only a few arrests and the next 6 days the marches were held but only a few, like 200, participated. — So I missed all that.
Saw this article about Mexico and the disabled vets. Thought you would be interested.
I've read several articles about how the people live in China and Russia. If these stories are true it must be very nice to live there. Of course if I read some of the articles written about the U.S. I'd think this was a wonderful place to live and it isn't.
Be happy and I hope the college is doing good. Do you still have the whorehouse next to the Hotel? Is anything going on with rebuilding on La Salle? Are more blacks moving in around Division and La Salle? Are people feeling healthy, those you meet? How's Anna doing?
I'll write again, soon I hope
Love,
Alice
