User-Contributed Transcription voted into office but it still was not worth much. So where did it come from?
It's Saturday and the building next door is quiet but Monday it will start again with the power hammers etc. It's going to be pretty tho. It will be called el Esplanade with a covered walkway to the parking ramp across the street. There will be a supper club in the basement, stores on the first floor and all the upper floors for offices. I think it will be a financial flop.
I was unable to find out anything about your TV show of Sept. 5th. How did it go? By the time they decide to put you on a regular show you won't be interested any more.
How's your book coming along. Does Paul Romaine, whoever he is, have someone on the line yet? I hope it is a humorous story you wrote. I can't see you writing anything depressing.
Haven't heard from anyone for about a month so I'm plum out of news. If I wrote more often to people maybe they would write back but most people hate to write letters.
Who was it, do you know, who said 'violence is the last resort of the incompetent'? I wrote that to my son when he said he beat his kid. I think those words were meant for war is because of government incompetence but I don't know. I heard it once at one of your C of C lectures. —— By the way what is coming up for Oct. curriculum?
Hope you are well and at peace with yourself and the world.
Sent with love,
Alice
