My dear Phyllis -
It was very kind indeed of you to write me that lovely note and to send me Edith's poems -
I like the poems very much indeed - their spirit is splendid and beautiful I think - I have always felt that Edith was the very truest democrat I knew - truly at heart one - and these have the spirit of it-- I liked the preface--Did not you and Ned think them
