User-Contributed Transcription 2 he hadn't heard a thing from McKay - as I had predicted he wouldn't. so our program is lagging. Cora is making up for it by her activities, and she says the response is great. Byrum had planned a short paper on the disappearance of certain varieties of palms and other things, but the proposition wasn't brought up. so we won't have that. I had proposed that we have a program on the history of the Mall with old timers giving reminiscence of the development. That was shoved aside by Paul wanting McKay - Our secretary Mrs. Mary Reed is one that can never "get going", so no notice was written for last Friday's Sun, until Wed. a.m. when I wrote out a few lines and telephoned them to the society editor. It got in in a very inconspicuous place. I looked the paper over twice before I found it. Since that I've written something more and am sending it in this a.m. with a letter to give it a prominent place on the front page if no one else sends in something better. As I'm not on the Ex. board
