User-Contributed Transcription Wee sma' hours beginning the 30th 1951 Mrs. May Walden 420 West Bell Street Avon Park, Fla. Darling Tafern: Your letter came yesterday with a small package and letter from Frank. I suppose Dos and Ann are freezing somewhere tonight on the way down. I know you are worried about the transaction and it may help a little for you to know I have written the county Assessor all about it and asked for instructions. Every year he sends out cards to property owners for a renewal of the application for Homestead Exemption, statement of personal property, and sales, and if any changes from last year we have to explain the change. Expect a prompt reply tomorrow. Also, asked which lawyer to employ. It is o.k. with me for Dos to ask for title search. It will cost him plenty, so Miss Mattie Tompkins, lawyer, told me in Nov. when I consulted her about an abstract. I still have the abstract that Fannie Reeves Spink had made at the time Uncle John loaned her $5000. on her property - and all her ever got back was $50.00
