User-Contributed Transcription 5 air is full of the odor all the time. Also of gasoline in the pantry where most of the cooking is done. Otherwise the place is a pleasant one. I have a room to myself with a bowl and pitcher, and the usual tea cup of hard water to bathe in. Have not had a hot bath for two weeks. But I have cold ones in the mornings nearly every day. I suppose you are out at Mayfair today. I haven't even seen a nickle show since I left. Nothing but this steady grind of socialist speechifying and writing reports and letters. This afternoon we are to call on women to "stir them up." With much, much love, Mother
