User-Contributed Transcription Minonk, Ill., ________________191 meet me. They looked at me as little chickens do at a beg beetle. I asked, "Any Socialists here?" Business of much hand-shaking and congratulating. Took me straight to here -- no time to even look in a glass. Few there but in not time 75 had gathered and I sailed in. Several got up and left at intervals -- or else went out for drinks as many seemed to be coming in all the time. Have two fried eggs, bread and glass of milk after the fray. Hungry as a wolf. A comrade and his wife (not eighteen) took me to hotel. Every one in bed. Com. rang bell. Proprietor got up came to banister in nightie and asked "What's up?" Com. explained "Our lady came". Directions where We have this hotel under a long lease and are here to stay -- this is our home. Special attention given to commercial men and courteous treatment to all. Good beds, good meals and good service.
